A Beautiful Christmas Love Story as only the dark minds of Dream Theatre can present it. Loneliness, disappointment, prescription drugs and lots and lots of eggnog. Two miserable people, who are always alone on Christmas, somehow find one another and fall in love.
Cold is directed by Jeremy Menekseoglu and Anna Weiler and features Courtney Arnett and Jeremy Menekseoglu
Design by Anna Weiler
REVIEWS:
"Dream Theatre founder Jeremy Menekseoglu's two-hander (Cold) operates with the surreal logic of a
psychotropically enhanced swoon fable. Menekseoglu the writer has a gift for revealing his characters through telling details"
and "Courtney Arnett's hilarious, heartbreaking, expertly pitched performance as Lyric." - Justin Hayford of the CHICAGO READER
"The emo Christmas-themed entertainment, Cold, by Jeremy Menekseoglu...Rife with wit and studded with well-crafted dialogue...
Finely written monologues in which the monologist adeptly clarifies his invisible scene partner's traits and rejoinders are a
particular strength" and "Arnett makes consistently unique choices, imbuing her lines with ricocheting pathos and humor.
Menekseoglu plays Nate's highs and lows with equal facility." - Sarah Terez Rosenblum of CENTERSTAGE CHICAGO
